What is value ?

Value is just a relative map of relevant scarcity required to make survival probable.

Capitalism, an amazing algorithm, was gradient-descent working on a massive scale of sort of all transact-able-value. It has been able to create a bubble of abundance around us in a hostile universe. Though we have harmed our less evolved cousins in the process and are choking our substrate mother earth as we try to get a grip on the algorithm.

It's curious how over-consumption has sort of delivered. It's led us from individual efforts, to expert services, to a universe of products. It makes one wonder why moral maxims don't work.

I have always wondered why is nature so violent, or why haven't we shed evil in our billions of years of evolution. Does this mean evil does play an essential part in perpetuation of us? A disconcerting thought, but one that we need to engage on.

I have always wondered, shouldn't our goal be enhancement of knowledge, capacity & consciousness allowing for rich and vivid ecosystems celebrating individual agency while playing varied games of life !?

Then why we, the improbable and stagnating few, the only speck of life visible in the vast observable universe, blessed with the consciousness to see beyond our own survival game, and on the cusp of making different type of life more probable across the shores of the universe, involved in the war of ideas and territories, killing and salivating to, the improbable us !?

The universe is not limited, it's just harsh. Scarcity is not the enemy, improbability of life is. We have the agency to make us and a more diverse life probable. The need at this cusp is to enable diverse kinds of life live harmoniously. We have failed to do so, and we are failing to do so.

AGI, Crisper-ed life, those evolving in varying constraints - of spaceships, of varying chemistries of planets & heavenly bodies, of different architecture of simulations, all would need to live harmoniously in some millennia. And not just sharing our scale of sentinel life, but varying ones, nano-entities to those spanning cities, nations, corporations, planets... !

In the history we have captured via language, and interpreted via rocks, violence has been frequent. Even when we, as a singular species, have been dominant, we haven't been able to let-go of it or it's buildup. With multiple conscious beings at different levels and scales, with different substrates and implementations, what would the future be ? I wonder !

May be an actual god made us, may be one didn't. May be there's universal consciousness already embedded in every spec of reality, may be it isn't. One thing is, and that's quite common in the accumulated wisdom of our shared heritage, that truth brings us closer to knowing god, whatever it may be. And there are multiple ways of knowing the truth, science is one, experience is another, there is creation, deduction and maths, then there is meditation and spirituality.... Truth is hidden everywhere in rocks, in cosmic radiations, within us. All we have is to listen, observe.

As we are amidst the age of becoming god, it's only truth that decides whether we lay the foundations of a peaceful expansion of life, or a violent extinction, or somewhere in between. But what are the good-vs-evil stories, the virtues we have been professing & celebrating any good if we fail to lay the foundation of a peaceful expansion.

In my understanding creating a hub of truth that expands consciousness, perhaps leads to the emergence of a global one, seems like the way forward.

It's an attempt to regain control from the gradient-descent of transact-able-value we call capitalism, and hand it over to our collective consciousness.
